Big Picture Gallery and Studio teams up with Chereal Designs for professional instruction led by Cheryl Weatherford to learn how to make beaded jewelry!  June's session will begin with the fundamentals of making a wrapped loop for earrings and using a common stringing material, flexwire, to design their own beaded bracelet.  The second day, students will wire their own gemstone pendants using jewelry making tools.  Finishing the three-day jewelry camp are beloved beaded creatures!  After camp, students will have the opportunity to take home written instructions for future projects.

Knowing how to knot beads is a helpful skill to knot precious beads to make rosaries or malas and a timeless technique to protect pearls. Learn how to knot in-between beads with Chereal Designs at Big Picture Gallery and Studio on Sunday, November 17th from 2-4pm. Every kit comes with the materials needed to complete a bracelet with beads that you choose on the day of class, including gemstone, pearls and glass.

In this improved version of this design, add freshwater pearls to copper wire.  Wrap your wire around a sturdy armature.  Learn to create a hook-n-eye clasp that comes organically from the piece.

Create a Sunburst pendant with natural gemstone beads and copper wire at Big Picture Gallery & Studio! Participants will have two gemstone beads to choose from to create their own pendant. This design uses copper wire and string art technique to create a pentagram inside a gemstone crown. Perfect for beginners, bring eye wear for close up work if needed.

Come design a beaded elastic bracelet on Sunday, June 23rd from 2-4pm at Big Picture Gallery and Studio! Each ticket creates one elastic bracelet created and designed by you after choosing beads provided by Chereal Designs including stone, glass, pearls and other organic materials. Learn how to use a fibrous and sturdy elastic and finish like a pro! Registration beforehand will ensure a kit is there waiting for you, participants can pay upon walking in. See you on Sunday!

Wire Wrapping Stones 2.0

Pre-requisite: ability to make a wrapped loop. See Jazzy Linked Bracelet on July 3, OR wire wrapping stone on July 6.

This is a “next steps” class in wire wrapping stones. Use wire to capture a stone using different shapes of wire. Participants will learn to coil and weave wires together for layers of embellishment.

Join Chereal Designs on Zoom for two sessions to make this incredible woven bracelet with a gemstone cabochon middle sourced by a local lapidarian Nick Hunter. Each kit will include one of Nick’s cut gemstones, copper wire, copper beads and copper clasp.

Students will need to provide tools: Round nose plier, chain nose plier, wire cutter, nylon jaw straightener tools.

Buying a kit registers you for our Zoom lesson on the 7th and 14th, to ensure your kit gets sent to you on time please register for class by midnight on September 5th.

Adjustable Necklace Class

Take your wirework skills to the next level with these tips and tricks on how to perfect twisting wire into links along with headpins. Students will get to choose kits made from: glass, wood, pearls or glass beads and all kits come with written instructions along with materials. To make adjustable knots we will be using leather or a vegan option of black knotting cord. All tools will be provided during class, be sure to bring any additional reading glasses or other vision tools to help see fine detail.
